UPCYCLED LOUNGE CHAIR

The modular armchair is part of Polcha's inaugural collection of glazed terracotta tiles, inspired by the theme of the sea. Color plays a pivotal role for Polcha, creating an aquatic decor that manipulates and distorts spaces through optical illusions reminiscent of water ripples.

This product is crafted within a family-owned business specializing in handcrafted terracotta and lava stone. The clay used for the tiles is sourced from a nearby clay quarry, and waste is minimized through an efficient recovery system.

Modular armchair crafted in Ivry-sur-Seine at Atelier Veneer to promote a short supply chain.

Hydrophobic wooden structure.

Tiles in dimensions 13 x 13 cm and 13 x 4 cm.

Traditional Ivory White joints.

CHAISE LONGUE UPCYCLEE

Chaise réalisée en collaboration avec Atelier Veneer:

Structure tubulaire articulée en métal upcyclée, issue d’un transat des année 80.
Transformation d’une assise à partir d’un dessin original de Polcha.
Développement et conception d’un système encastrant la structure métallique + création d’une toile de bois en contreplaqué cintrage perforé par Atelier Veneer. (Architecte, designer, menuisier, constructeur).

Caractéristiques :

Bois cintrable perforé à la découpe numérique
Accoudoirs : assemblage de deux parties (découpe numérique)
Assemblage des différents éléments: réalisé à la main dans les ateliers d’Ivry sur Seine. Peinture structure : peinture à l’huile nécessitant de nombreux glacis, matière bleue Assise: dégradé réalisé à la peinture à l’huile en un seul geste .
Finitions: cire d’abeille naturelle transparente.
